I heard about a country music singer tonight who sounds interesting. His name is Riley Green. So I’m starting my music listening hike tonight with his album – Different ‘Round Here. This is my first listen to it, and the first country music album I’ve checked out in months.
9:20 PM CST UPDATE: Ok I have skipped almost every track on this album. That’s not saying it’s a bad album. It’s just… well, I expected something more upbeat. I guess country music to me is sthe stuff I grew up on in the 80’s to the early 2000’s. This album is bland bro-code country that is typical of today’s country music sound… Also I didn’t a lot if originality in many of the lyrics. I will say however that I love Riley’s voice. He definitely has a voice for country music, but there’s nothing to tap your toes to on this album.
